FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to methods for preparing for and performing a surgical operation on the head using mixed reality. When the method is implemented, a computed tomography of the head is performed on the patient, the results of the scan are transmitted to a computer wherein three-dimensional models of anatomical structures of interest to the surgeon are built. Areas are selected on the constructed 3D model of the head, whereon the optical marker holder will be fixed. The holder is supposed to provide a possibility of support by soft tissues located above the frontal, parietal and nasal bones of the skull, and to be shaped so as to be able to assume the only fixed position on the head on the condition of tight fit thereon. Based on the selected areas, a three-dimensional model of the holder is built and printed on a 3D printer. A volumetric optical marker is attached to the produced holder of one of the edged, applied to each open edge whereof is a unique code created so that the camera built into the glasses is able to recognise the code and to determine the orientation and position of the marker. The data including a model of the marker with the applied code and three-dimensional models of anatomical structures, associated therewith, is loaded into the mixed reality glasses. The marker is fixed on the head of the patient using the holder in a position matching the position of the holder model on the three-dimensional model of the head.
EFFECT: simplification of the method for preparing for and performing a surgical operation on the head using mixed reality is achieved, maintaining or increasing the accuracy of combination of virtual 3D models of anatomical structures with the body of the patient.
