FIELD: mechanical drives for controlling nuclear reactors of space power plants during their in-service ground tests. SUBSTANCE: control unit has bags, trunnions, clutches, removable sealed dummy plugs, supercharging and finally pressurizing device. Control elements provided with trunnions on both ends are placed in bags. One of trunnions is connected to drive by means of kinematic chain located in bag and at least for part of control elements second trunnion is provided with split joint member. Removable sealed plug is arranged coaxially within control element bad; kinematic chains of these control element incorporate controllable clutches. Supercharging and finally pressurizing device is installed behind shadow radiation shield. EFFECT: improved design. 9 cl, 5 dwg
