METHOD TO CONDUCT PAROTID GLAND ANESTHETIZATION AND THERAPY OF PAROTITIS AND SIALOSIS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, stomatology. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with retroparotid container blocking of sensitive, secretory and vasomotor parotid gland innervation by introducing injection needle at opened mouth at angle of 70 deg to skin upward, onward and inward from lower edge of external auditory meatus to oval cranial hole at 4 cm depth and in-layers injection of 10 ml 2%-solution of local anesthetic, and at treatment - 20 ml 0.5%-solution into gland bed containing otic-temporal, facial, large otic and periartherial sympathic nerves that form intraorganic nervous plexus. EFFECT: decreased terms of therapy, lower total dose of anesthetic.
