FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: strain converter is meant to measure pressure and force. It is manufactured in the form of section of metal conductor made from magnetostrictive alloy with magnetic permeability $$$ and thickness d with d $$$, where f is frequency of A.C. generator in resistance measurement circuit into which section of metal conductor is placed. Amorphous alloy may be used in specific cases. Converter can be anchored on support with one end and can be force-prestressed. It can also have magnetic anisotropy, or sections with longitudinal and lateral anisotropy. EFFECT: improved authenticity of measurements. 9 cl, 2 dwg
