FIELD: electrical engineering; miscellaneous transformers and reactors. SUBSTANCE: magnetic core relates to those made of magnetically soft alloys characterized in high sensitivity of their magnetic properties to heat treatment in magnetic field. Proposed magnetic core is spiral core made of magnetically soft amorphous alloy strip containing cobalt, iron, manganese, silicon, and boron in its composition. Novelty is that proportion of alloy ingredients is as follows, atom percent: iron 1.65-5; total content of iron and manganese 4-8; silicon 2-8; total content of silicon and boron 16-24; cobalt the rest. Br/B800 ratio in magnetic core is higher than 0.9 or this ratio is lower than 0.05, where Br is residual flux density; (B800 is flux density at magnetic field intensity of 800 A/m.
