FIELD: radio measurements; test oscillators. SUBSTANCE: resonator is made in the form of coaxial line section carrying on one end electricity conducting wall electrically connected to its internal and external conductors; internal conductor is spliced along resonator axis into two spatially separated parts; coupling members are installed for exciting antiphase currents in both parts of internal conductor. Resonant frequency primarily depends on capacitance of open end of two-wire line formed by both parts of internal conductor, that is, on distance between resonator and external object, or on dielectric parameters of the latter. This is more effective when open ends of internal conductor are of larger area. In second design form, both parts of internal conductor are electrically interconnected but insulated from end conducting wall. Internal conductor is installed eccentrically and its parts are arranged in the form of loop. EFFECT: eliminated effect of stray capacitance at open end of coaxial line on resonant frequency; reduced length of resonator. 5 cl, 7 dwg
