FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: device has external fixed shielding case with loading and unloading trays accommodating working condenser and perforated cylindrical drum 2 made of radio parent material. Hollow cylindrical rotor 3 is concentrically arranged in perforated drum 2 and is made of radioparent material. Unloading screw conveyer is installed in external case 1 under perforated drum 2. Inner surface of cylindrical perforated drum 2 and outer surface of hollow rotor 3 carry brushes 10 made in the form of spirals; lines of projection of spiral turns of brushes 10 and, respectively, drum 2 and rotor 3, onto vertical plane are inclined to line of vegetable feed through angle greater than 90 deg. and smaller than 90 deg. Perforated drum 2 and hollow rotor 3 are mounted for rotation in different directions. High- potential and low-potential electrodes of working condenser are, essentially, parts of cylindrical surfaces located below horizontal center line of rotor 3 and drum 2 and concentrically to their common longitudinal center line, respectively, inside hollow rotor 3 and in gap between perforated drum 2 and external case 1. Low-frequency electrodes 5 are perforated. EFFECT: improved cleaning of vegetables, reduced power requirement for the process, provision for vegetable decontamination by exposing them to high-frequency electromagnetic field. 2 dwg
