FIELD: medical engineering for alleviating painful syndrome. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises cylindrical body housing source of high-velocity magnetic field which is generated by lateral surface of circular permanent magnet mounted on shaft of electric motor connected to power supply unit. Magnetic field thus-generated is oriented along generatrix. Apparatus comprises infrared radiation source connected to power supply unit and secured to side wall of apparatus body in plane which is perpendicular to magnet axis equidistantly from its axial ends. Optical axis of infrared radiation source is oriented in radial direction. Apparatus also comprises auxiliary infrared radiation sources which are secured to body wall both along generatrix and circumferentially in plane in which main infrared radiation source is located. Infrared radiation sources are formed as light-emitting diodes or laser diodes. Apparatus body has round shape on its working end enclosing circular magnet, while at its non-working end it has axially movable circular limiter with lock. Apparatus is used to relieve pain in treatment of gynecological and proctological diseases, in dermatology, stomatology and other fields of medicine. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg
