FIELD: methods of mining of mineral resources occurring in beach zone adjoining the coastline; applicable in development deposits of shelf. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that placer deposit is worked by opencasting with mining equipment located on land. Placer deposit is developed by trenches located with their axes along coastline. These trenches are connected with water area. For this purpose additional trenches are excavated along direction of movement of surf waves and extending from coastline to main trench most distant from it. Operations are carried out towards coastline. Distance from coastline to the most distant main trench does not exceed maximum distance of run up of wave surf on beach during storm gales. EFFECT: possibility of self-repair of biocenosis of beach zone with reduced technogenic effect on water medium in development of placer deposits. 4 cl, 2 dwg
