FIELD: microwave engineering. SUBSTANCE: three standard loads are inserted in turn into measuring channel, amplitudes of incident and reflected waves are measured, complex reflection factors are calculated for standard loads which are made in the form of section of transmission line with parallel- connected microwave diode shifted from symmetry axis of line section; microwave diode shift is different for each standard load; the latter are placed in standing wave node of measuring channel by varying amplitude and phase of one of incident waves.
