FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave instrument-making and can be used in telecommunication and radar systems for various purposes as an integrated radiating module when constructing phased antenna arrays. Dual-band antenna (DBA) comprises long and short dipoles consisting of two symmetrical halves each, similar power terminals of which are connected to each other by identical short conductors, electric length of which is less than 1/10 of electric length of short dipole. Antenna also includes anti-phase power divider in ratio 1:1. Outputs of the divider are directly connected to dipole supply terminals, respectively. Dipoles are located in one plane, and power terminals are localized at their remote ends. Therefore, both central adjacent in close proximity ends of each of dipoles are in idle mode. Long (low-frequency) dipole is made in the form of a meander whose longitudinal size is equal to the length of the short (high-frequency) dipole. Cross meander is selected so that the total length of the meandered dipole is equal to half the wavelength corresponding to the central frequency of the lower frequency range. As a result DBA provides reduction by 35 % of level of its mismatch with standard feeding coaxial cable of wave resistance of 50 Ohm.
EFFECT: wider range of frequency matching of DBA with feeder.
