FEED DISTRIBUTOR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture; agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: feed distributor has hopper 1 with longitudinal bottom conveyor 2. Hub 4 with rotor 5 is mounted in the front wall of the hopper. Each vane 6 of the rotor has chopping tools 7 on the front facet and unloading vanes 8 at the end. Vanes 8 are diverted in the direction opposite of the direction of rotation of the rotor. Hub 4 is provided with flange 9 to which rotor 5 is attached. The end part of each vane 8 is bent in the direction of rotation of the rotor in circumference so that a tangent to its free edge is at an acute angle relative to the radius of rotor 5 passing through the said edge. Chopping tools 7 are mounted in pairs on each vane by means of brackets 12. The chopping tools are segment-shaped knives. Flange 9 is provided with a deflector attached to its front side. Brackets 12 on adjacent vanes are displaced along the vanes, and the distance of displacement is equal to the bracket length. Apexes of the knives are in the plane of location of the front cutting edges of the vanes. The deflector is a spiral-shaped plate, and its height may increase peripherally from the center.
