TRAP FOR RODENTS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: trap comprises cage 1 and over it hollow member is installed made in the form of oval horizontal pipe 2, where turnable section 4 is disposed rotating around horizontal axis 3. Ramp 5 is fastened to input end of pipe 2. Permanent magnet 7 is installed on opposed end of oval pipe 2 under stop 6. Holes 8 are located above opposed end of oval pipe 2, and over them, container 9 for bait is disposed. Novelty of the invention is in using of permanent magnet 7 fixed with the help of stop 6 on pipe 2. It is in contact with a part of turnable section 4 adjoining output end of pipe. Rodents attracted by bait move in pipe 2 on immovable turnable section 4 fixed by magnet 7. As soon as rodent's mass exceeds gravitational force of section by magnet, the latter is quickly lowered and throws off a rodent inside cage 1. Section is immediately returned to initial position and fixed by magnet. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
