FIELD: petrochemical syntheses. SUBSTANCE: method of oxidizing amylenes to amylene oxides with oxygen-containing gas in solvent in presence of catalyst is distinguished with that, as catalyst, cobalt(II), cobalt(III) or aluminium salts of saturated, unsaturated, naphtenic acids or their perfluoro derivatives as well as tungsten trioxide, vanadium pentaoxide, or cobalt containing zeolite are used. Instead of catalyst or along with it, ultraviolet radiation may be employed. As solvent, tertiary alcohols, ketones, alifatic or aromatic hydrocarbons or their halogenated derivatives or nitriles may be used. Oxidation is additionally conducted in presence of an alifatic or aromatic aldehyde at molar amylene/aldehyde/ solvent ratio 1:(0.15-5.5): (1-13) at 18-55 C, which gives rise to selectivity in respect to amylene oxides up to 95.2-99.1%.
