FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely drilling and strengthening tools operating at conditions of intensive abrasive wear. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mixing diamond particles and metallic binding, pressing and sintering pressed blanks simultaneously with impregnating them. Novelty is applying molybdenum layer onto diamond particles before mixing. Then basic component of metallic binding is applied in flow of flow-discharge plasma. Wearability of material is increased approximately by 1.5 times. EFFECT: enhanced wearability of material due to lowered tension stresses in zone of diamond-binding boundary.
