FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method including charging starch, carbon material, and water into mixer, continuously agitating charged components and formed mixture, shaping and drying particles. Novelty consists in that aqueous emulsion of starch with amylose content 17.5-30.0% is first prepared, for example, at 40-50 C, and then boiling water is added and emulsion is transformed into colloid solution with weight starch to water ratio (5-15):(95-85). Colloid solution thus prepared and powder carbon material with carbon content 80-99.7% (for instance, commercial graphite powder) are simultaneously and continuously charged into the mixer maintaining weight ratio of carbon material, starch, and water (50-60): (4-3): (46-37). Saw dust may also be entered into the mixer in quantity 0.5-1.5% on carbon material weight. Pastelike mixture is then shaped into particles which are successively dried first at 50-80 C, then at 81-150 C, and finally at 151-300 C for 3-5 min at each temperature range. Particle can be shaped with width to length ratio in the range 0.1- 1.0, width being 4 to 40 mm. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 5 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
