APPARATUS FOR STAGGERED DISTRIBUTION OF SEEDS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has hopper 2, movable plate 3 positioned below hopper 2 and provided with rows of paired charging openings 4 and 5, immovable plate 6 with rows of seed holes 7 and mechanism 16 for effectuating reciprocating motion of plate 3. Vacuum guides 10 are mounted on lower part of immovable plate 6 symmetrically relative to each row of seed holes 7. Vacuum guides have channels 8 positioned in immovable plate 6 in parallel with rows of holes 7. Compressed air ducts 11 with openings 12 in its lower part are mounted above movable plate 3 in common plane with rows of seed holes 7. Space between axes extending through centers of rows of paired charging openings 4 and 5 is equal to distance between axis extending through center of row of holes 7 and axis extending through center of vacuum guide channels. In each extreme position, one of paired rows of charging openings 4 and 5 of movable plate 3 is positioned below rows of channels 8 of vacuum guide 10 and other of paired rows of openings of plate 3 is positioned between channels of excessive pressure air duct 11 and seed holes 7 of plate 6. Apparatus has seeding pipes 14 staggered in several rows throughout its width and connected with holes 7 of plate 6 through flexible hoses 13.
