FIELD: preparation of catalysts for petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: method of preparing catalyst containing 14-21 wt % molybdenum oxides, 4-8 wt % cobalt or nickel oxides, and 2-6 wt % phosphorus oxides on solid porous acidic carrier is distinguished with that, when carrier is to be prepared, aluminium hydroxide is peptized with a mixture of nitric and phosphoric acids at their weight ratio 1:(0.2-0.5), extruded, dried at 100-120 C for 3-5 h with temperature rise velocity 20-30 C/h and calcined at 400-700 C for 4 h. Carrier is impregnated in two steps with intermediate drying at 100-120 C for 4 h with temperature rise velocity 20-25 C/h provided that solution of molybdenum salts used in the first impregnation step has pH 3.0-6.0. EFFECT: improved procedure.
