SUBSTANCE: method involves producing fibrous material from hollow or continuous polyester or polyamide or polyolefin filaments with linear density of 3-1000 decitex and length of 20 mm ad infinitum, or from mixture of these filaments in the form of single- component filaments in the mixture of multiple-component filaments of the same composition and in the mixture of thermoplastic powder of their fibre- forming polymers. Mats are manufactured from this material by thermal strengthening with the usage of hot air and/or mechanical strengthening, for instance by piercing. Articles are manufactured by pressing or by mechanical or thermal action.
