FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: protection and strengthening of earth beds in very icy permafrost with loose, setting or thawing bases is effected by method which implies creation of strengthening elements in base below earth bed. Very icy fragments found in base are destructed by hydrodynamic method, such as, through bore-holes which are drilled through earth bed into base. Destructed icy earth is removed by hydraulic method, and strengthening elements are created by substituting removed icy earth with thawed earth of required properties which is pumped into thus formed spaces. EFFECT: high efficiency. 5 cl, 4 dwg
