FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of forming fuel-air mixture. Proposed method of forming fuel-air mixture consists in delivery of air flow designed for mixing with fuel, excitation of oscillations in oscillator by means of supersonic converter and delivery of fuel to surface of oscillator. Longitudinal oscillations at frequency corresponding to frequency of one of its harmonics are excited oscillator. End section of oscillator is placed in air flow. Cross-section area of end section of oscillator monotonically decreases in direction of propagation of oscillations. Delivery of fuel is effected owing to contact of section of oscillator over which air flow does not pass with fuel getting out of fuel-containing devices, with provision of gravity flow of fuel film over section of oscillator over which air passes in direction of propagation of oscillations from supersonic converter. EFFECT: improved efficiency of internal combustion engine in operation. 3 dwg
