SUBSTANCE: method of production of zinc from zinc dross includes melting of dross effected by focused immovable electronic beam brought out to atmosphere onto center part of dross mass. In so doing, initial treatment is carried out with beam power value exceeding the process value by 1.3-1.5 times up to melting through the entire dross thickness, and smoothly reduced to the process power value. Treatment is continued up to complete melting of dross, and further treatment is carried out with beam power value equalling 0.7-0.8 of the process power value with scanning beam over the entire surface of dross.
