FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: method involves charging sequentially positioned heating furnaces arranged in row with zinc wastes (dross); melting zinc wastes; moving ingot mold and positioning it under discharge openings of heating furnaces arranged at predetermined space one with respect to another; pouring melt into ingot mold. Ingot mold is moved in direction parallel to longitudinal axis of row of heating furnaces and is positioned at space unequal to space between discharge openings of heating furnaces. Melt is poured after it is accumulated in heating furnace. Apparatus has gates mounted on each of heating furnaces for closing discharge openings, ingot mold position stops mounted on base, and guides extending in parallel with longitudinal axis of row of heating furnaces, with stops being connected to platform moving mechanism. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of ingot by providing homogeneous composition through the entire ingot volume. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl, 1 ex
