FIELD: hydroelectric power engineering. SUBSTANCE: machine has cylinder-and-piston assembly one of whose members is mounted on support and other is held on water surface by means of float attached to it. Cylinder has inlet and outlet holes for communicating with vessel accommodating that further conveys energy. Piston is mounted on support. Float is placed on external surface of cylinder. Vessel is, essentially, receiver communicating with inlet and outlet cylinder holes through valves. Machine has bulkhead to divide water volume into two parts with different levels. Cylinder, piston and channel are located on high-level side. Channel has movable partitions at inlet and outlet. Channel outlet is made in the form of holes at bulkhead bottom. Channel inlet is below water level. Top part of channel is rigidly joined with cylinder and connected to ends of channel inlet and outlet and to channel walls through flexible diaphragm. EFFECT: improved design. 6 cl, 2 dwg
