FIELD: electric heaters, in particular, for heating of rooms. SUBSTANCE: infrared radiation heater uses at least one composite band. The composite band is made of a resistive element in the form of a sheet, electric insulating layer and reflector oriented inside the room adjoining the band on one side. Terminals for connection to the power source are located at the band ends, on the other side of the resistive element a layer with a high radiating power is applied. If several composite bands are available, their ends are connected by lateral strips with suspension means (springs). In one of the design versions the composite bands make up a continuous circuit by means of lateral strips, and the extreme strips are located on one side of the set of composite bands and furnished with terminals for connection to the power source.
