FIELD: fuel production. SUBSTANCE: fuel is designed to be used if middle-speed and high-speed diesel engines and contains (in weight %): as primary oil distillates, 240-450 C fraction of atmospheric distillation gas oil, 5-15, and 200-400 C fraction of first vacuum distillate, 5-25; as coking distillates, 160-400 C fraction, 5-30; as catalytic cracking distillates, 180-400 C fraction of catalytic cracking gas oil, 5-60; and 160-360 C fraction of diesel fuel, the balance. Utilization of such composition allowed yield of low-viscosity diesel fuel to be raised by 16%, and its performance characteristics were improved: lubricating capability, combustion heat, and corrosion aggressiveness. EFFECT: increased yield, improved consumer's quality. 4 tbl
