FIELD: liquid fuels. SUBSTANCE: atmospheric vacuum distillation fractions 155-360 C, 155-435 C, and 220-550 C are combined at weight ratio from 40: 55:5 to 55:35:10, whereas vacuum gas oil fraction 240-560 C is subjected to preliminary hydrofining on alumino-cobalt-molybdenum catalyst and then to catalytic cracking in fluidized bed of microspherical catalyst accompanied by separation of fraction 155-420 C from the product consisting of fractions 155-325 C and 325-420 C at weight ratio from 90:10 to 99:1. Fraction 155-420 C is then combined with straight-run distillate at weight ratio (15-65): (85-35). EFFECT: improved working characteristics of fuel and liberated low-boiling fraction for appropriate use. 5 tbl, 6 ex
