FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power engineering, namely to steam screw-type machines (SSTM). The machine contains screw rotors mounted on bearings in a housing 1 having inlet and outlet pipes 2 and 3 connected to the steam supply and discharge system, matching gears mounted at the ends of the screw rotors on the side of the nozzle 3. The machine additionally contains a driven gear 8 engaged with one of the matching gears and connected to the working shaft 9 for the transmission of torque. The rotors are hollow with fixed axes. The bearings are installed between the internal cavities of the rotors and their fixed axes, on which end seals are installed on each side to separate the oil and steam cavities. Radial holes are made in the axes for feeding oil into bearings and end seals.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the design of the SSTM, improve operational characteristics, and also increase the reliability of its operation.
