FIELD: production of ethyl alcohol. SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminarily separating mash, transferring it into mash column through separated mash collector, isolating 10-90 vol. % mash condensates on mash column, diluting 50-90 vol. % strong mash condensates to 20-50 vol. % prior to transferring them into epuration column, and epurate for further purification and rectification to yield commercial produce. Mash condensates are prepared on mash column by way of feeding aqueous solution of basic reagent in amount of 0.01-5.0 g per 1 cu. dm of alcohol. Still section of epuration column is supplied with potassium permanganate (0.01-5.0 g per 1 cu.dm of alcohol) and there diluted mash condensates are boiled for 10-30 min to achieve epurate strength 8-50 vol. %. As basic reagent, sodium, potassium, and ammonium hydroxide, carbonate, or bicarbonate are used. A part of reagent (1-99 wt %) is added into mash prior to its separation and remained part is introduced into separated mash collector. In another embodiment of process 1-99 wt % of reagent is added into mash prior to its separation or into separated mash collector and remained part is added into mash column. It is also possible to use basic reagent to dilute strong mash condensates or to enter it into epuration column. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 23 cl
