FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant for inlet of water from upper pool of hydroelectric station. Water intake includes pressure tunnel 2, forebay 6 in the form of duct 7 which frame is formed by pipes 8 vertically arranged along perimeter of duct 7 having sealed lower ends and integrated into common volumetric structure by means of three belts. Lower part of frame is closed by water-tight shell and has overflow opening with grills 14 retaining refuse located between vertical pipes 8. Column 16 with crosses 17 with which it is joined to four vertical pipes 8 of frame 7 is placed inside duct 7 opposite to inlet 5 into pressure tunnel 2. Crane 18 with boom is located above column 16 on deck. EFFECT: enhanced functional reliability. 11 cl, 4 dwg
