FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves absorbing light products of wood pyrolysis by liquid circulating along cooling system. Flows of gas and liquid are connected in vortex dispersed layer which formed due to their swirl at entering the absorber. After separation nonabsorbable gas is partially returned for recirculation through absorber. Device comprises source of gases, absorber with vortex chamber and centrifugal separator. Liquid is fed in absorber through liquid outline. Means for travel of gases are joined in recirculating gas outline. EFFECT: increased time of storage. 3 cl, 2 dwg
