METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ORGANIZATION OF CONTACT BETWEEN LIQUID AND GAS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning gases of dust and toxic agents; heat-power engineering, metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries. SUBSTANCE: contact is effected in vortex chamber at distributed supply of gas; method includes introduction and dispersion of liquid, forming vortex dispersed layer, performing contact in layer and centrifugal separation of components. Operation characteristics of process are dictated by conditions of vortex dispersed layer which are determined by means of dimensionless complexes demanding layer formation and destruction processes. Device for realization of this method includes facilities which ensure dispersion of liquid by vortex flow of gas, maintenance of vortex dispersed layer and centrifugal separation in descending gas-and-liquid flow. Geometric parameters which define throughput of device and effective contact are selected in accordance with conditions of forming the layer. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl 2 dwg
