FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas generators to be used as compressed gas sources in various actuators and for fast inflation of various rescue devices. Proposed gas generator comprises casing with outlet. Said casing houses igniter, charge, cooling filter, and metal grid. Pyro igniter is arranged between aforesaid igniter and afterburning flame dissector with one hole on pyro igniter side and holes on igniter side. Casing head sections accommodates steel springs and ring substrate. Safety valve is arranged in said outlet. Cooling filter is made up of one-piece module with thickness making at least one third of the length of charge made from heat-resistant filtration material with durability of at least 25 kgf/cm2 and pore size of not over 130 mcm. The charge is made of gas-generating composition including sodium salt of poly(vinyl tetrazole), lithium fluoride, sodium carbonate and sodium azide.
