FIELD: applicable in cleaning of flue gases of thermal power stations, effluent gases of roasting machines from sulfur oxides. SUBSTANCE: method of cleaning of flue gases from sulfur oxides with the help of pulse electronic beams consists in that flow of mixture of flue gases with water vapors is exposed to radiation with pulse-periodic electronic beam with optimal current density values and pulse width sufficient for carrying out the chain plasmochemical reaction of final oxidation of SO2 to H2SO4 in flue gas. The value of pulse width shall exceed the time of adhesion of electron to molecule of oxygen and less than time of recombination of positive ions of nitrogen and negative ions of oxygen, and pulse recurrence rate depends on flow rate of the mixture, and the required cleaning efficiency. Radiation with electronic beam is effected in direction perpendicular to flow of gas mixture. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
