FIELD: heavy-current pulse electron beams. SUBSTANCE: goal of invention is achieved by use of low-cost widespread materials such as spodumene, calcite or apatite with doping ions of Mn2+. This minerals issue luminescent light in yellow-green spectrum area under influence of electron beams. Presence of luminescent light provides possibility to show cross-section of electron beam in its arbitrary point. This effect is present both during exposition of minerals to electron beam and after it ceases for several dozens of minutes due to long duration of after-glow. Specific light characteristics of electron beam and its size could be detected during this period. Specific features of luminescent light provides possibility to evaluate or measure energy characteristics of electron beam. EFFECT: decreased cost. 1 dwg
