FIELD: quantum electronics; development of large and super- large continuous-wave and pulsed-periodic gas lasers. SUBSTANCE: laser has gas pan with gas pumping device, two electrodes connected directly to high-voltage pulse generator as well as to main power supply and to main storage capacitor through inductance coil isolating high-voltage and low-voltage circuits. Additional storage capacitor is connected to electrodes through current-limiting resistor and ganged high-voltage diodes. Storage capacitor is connected through other current-limiting resistor to main power supply. Value of first current-limiting resistor is chosen to be lower than interelectrode glow-discharge resistance. EFFECT: enlarged operating pressure range and active medium volume, increased power dissipated in gas and radiating power, improved service life of device. 1 dwg
