FIELD: reprocessing of agricultural products and production of sugar beet juice. SUBSTANCE: root grinder has casing with root charging device and ground mass discharge device, drum with rubbing cylindrical surface and pressure member. Drum is mounted in vertical position on shaft. Rubbing surface is defined by set of disks seated onto shaft and provided with circumferentially positioned brushes, which are formed as radial rods of 0.15 - 0.3 mm diameter.
