STRAIN OF BLUE-TONGUE VIRUS FEBRIS INFECTHIOSA CATARHALISS OVIUM USED FOR VACCINE PREPARING Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary virology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new strain of blue-tongue virus multiplicated in the transplanted Siberian mountain deer kidney cultured cells and used for vaccine preparing against the known local serotype. Strain of blue-tongue virus is multiplicated in the cultured cells of Siberian mountain deer kidney at titer 6.5-7.0 lg"ЦПД50"/ml, in green monkey kidney cultured cells (CV-1) at titer 5.5-6.0 lg"ЦПД50"/ml, in sheep kidney at titer 5.0-6.0 lg"ЦПД50"/ml, and in mice (age is 1-2 days) at titer 8.7-9.0 lg MLD (minimal lethal dose) 50/ml. By neutralization reaction index data the strain is considered to be 16 serotype of blue-tongue virus. Using electron-microscopic data viral particles of size 55-70 nm were detected. These viral particles were similar with representatives of orboviruses and rheoviruses family. EFFECT: new virus strain indicated above. 3 tbl
