FIELD: well drilling. SUBSTANCE: well pump sucker rod string has at least two steps of pump sucker rods. Both rods has the same equivalent body diameter. The steps are interconnected through a transition coupling being through, and provided with internal thread being similar all over the length. As this takes place, the heads of sucker rods being end in adjacent steps have similar outer thread, that is identical to internal thread of the transition coupling.
