SUBSTANCE: method deals with obtaining a culture of rat peritoneal macrophages, its incubation with quartz suspension under permanent conditions at the presence of tested substances at different molar concentrations or at their absence, estimating the percentage of nonviable cells dying by trypan blue, and finishing selection for testing as protectors only those substances that revealed significant decrease of such effect at the concentrations in which they themselves possess no considerable cytotoxicity for the same cellular system. EFFECT: decreased labor expenses for direct testing antitoxic efficiency of proposed protective products in inhalation trials in animals to make such trials more efficient and purposeful. 1 tbl
