FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: diplomat type briefcase and business type briefcase have document department and main department, where different articles, for instance garments, may be packed. Depending on User's requirements, departments may be selectively closed. Compartments are easily or hardly accessible depending on whether briefcase is opened in vertical or horizontal position. Document department is provided with clamp system, which, according to position of briefcase, retains document department in closed position, when front part of document department is fastened to cover of briefcase, or alternatively, panel is fastened to main part of briefcase to prevent content of main part from falling out and automatically providing easy access to document department content, when briefcase is opened in vertical position. Cover and main parts of briefcase are provided with other departments extending along their edges. These departments are easily accessible in any position of briefcase and especially when briefcase is opened in vertical position to provide for access to content of document department and main department, as well as to other departments of cover and main parts.
