FIELD: methods of mercury removal from inner surfaces of pipes. SUBSTANCE: method of mercury removal from inner surfaces of pipes provides for heating of pipe in zone of mercury pollution up to temperature of mercury evaporation from purified surface. Mercury evaporation is exercised under lowered pressure. Gas-carrier is continuously passing through the pipe to remove mercury vapors from it and mercury separation from gas-carrier is exercised in low-temperature trap. Apparatus of mercury removal from inner surfaces of pipes has locking devices, means for pipes positioning and locking ends of one or several treated pipes, delivering and removing pipelines for gas-carrier to locking devices, at least one low-temperature trap for mercury condensation coupled to pipeline for gas-carrier removal, exhauster to make gas-carrier to move in pipe and low-temperature trap, heating device.
