FIELD: chemical technology, inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: partially crystalline transient aluminium oxide containing aluminium (III) at 4,5,6-coordinated state with respect to oxygen and containing 55-60% 5-coordinated aluminium (III) of 4-coordinated aluminium content is produced by impact treatment of hydrargillite at 350-750 C for 0.01-10 s. Then it is subjected for rehydration, filtration and washing from sodium alkaline, mixed with the forming agent, dried and the formed articles were calcined. Rehydration is carried out at mass ratio between the solid and liquid phase = (1:3)-(1:10), respectively, periodically or continuously at 50-95 C, pH = 5.5-10.5, for 45-120 min up to formation of 70 wt.-% (minimally) finely fibrous boehmite. Inorganic and/or organic acid, binding agent or lubricants were used as forming agent. Forming is carried out by pelletizing, extruding, granulating or flowing out by drops.
