FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of engineering chemistry and can be used for preparation of microspheric attrition-resistant γ-Al2O3 used as adsorbent, catalyst and catalyst carrier. The rehydrated oxygen-containing aluminium compound is prepared by the hydrargillite activation and hydratation of the products thereof with saturated water vapour under the vacuum impulse action and constant stirring during 1 hrs and vapour pressure equal to pressure equilibrium of the vapor containing in the reactor voidage at the temperature 70-100°C, with following drying at temperature not more than 110°C. For completing of the microspheric attrition-resistant γ-Al2O3 preparation the rehydrated oxygen-containing aluminium compound is calcinated at 500-850°C.

EFFECT: invention allows to prepare the rehydrated oxygen-containing aluminium compound with high specific surface and practically not-abraded catalyst carrier prepared from microspheric γ-Al2O3.
