FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves unloading burden material from hoppers; feeding burden material to annular zones of furnace throat by rotary distributor; controlling position of rotary distributor in peripheral zones of furnace throat. During discharge of burden material to peripheral annular zone of furnace throat in semicircular throat sector defined by axis extending perpendicular to hoppers axes and positioned at side of hopper, from which burden material is discharged, tilting angle is initially increased and then, upon rotation of distributor through 130-180 deg, decreased by 1-3 deg. Increasing of tilting angle by predetermined value is ceased in 10-30 deg in the course of rotation from starting point of sector arc. EFFECT: increased efficiency by stabilized distribution of burden materials in circumferential and vertical discharge paths and, consequently, stabilized chemical composition of cast iron supplied through different tap holes, reduced consumption of coke by increased usage of furnace gas. 2 dwg, 2 tbl
