FIELD: aeronautical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is realized by means of mixed power plant consisting of two gas-turbine engines interconnected by means of heat-exchange apparatus; method includes stepped compression and expansion of working medium in each engine accompanied by cooling at compression and heating at expansion; one engine works in closed cycle and other engine works in open cycle. Transfer of heat from first gas-turbine engine is effected on hot side at atmospheric pressure. Reception of heat in second gas-turbine engine is effected on cold side at increased pressure, in closed cycle. When engine works as turboprop, exhaust of hot gases is effected after heat exchange with closed cycle. When engine works as turbo-jet engine, exhaust of part of gas is effected before heat exchange with closed cycle. EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency. 6 dwg
