FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: system and method are proposed to accumulate thermoelectric energy. The system to accumulate thermoelectric energy comprises at least one unit (x, y, z) of hot storage. In the preferable version each unit (x, y, z) of hot storage comprises a hot reservoir and a cold tank, which are connected via a heat exchanger and contain heat-accumulating medium. The system to accumulate thermoelectric energy also comprises a circuit of working fluid medium for circulation of the working fluid medium via each heat exchanger for heat transfer with the help of the heat-accumulating medium.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of a back and forth cycle by minimising of temperature difference between a working fluid medium and a heat accumulation medium in each heat exchanger during heat transfer.
