FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: heat is delivered to gas, for example by isobar; it is preliminarily twisted about center of rotation, after which it is expanded. Additional twisting and rotation take place due to radial pressure gradient at circumferential speed changing inversely to radius of rotation; then it is compressed to initial pressure. Device for realization of this method is made in form of accelerating chamber which has plane-parallel annular section changing to funnel-shaped form on side of axis of rotation. Guide vanes assembly is mounted at accelerating chamber inlet. Mounted at outlet of this chamber is swivel blade assembly in which flow of gas is braked and changes direction of its motion to axial motion. Mounted after swivel blade assembly is annular diffuser in which flow is slowed down to required pressure after which it is directed to blades of gas turbine wheel or is used for other purposes. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
