FIELD: sports orientation and tourism. SUBSTANCE: in given magnetic compass northern direction of magnetization of magnetized element mounted on support with three angular degrees of freedom is deviated relative to direction of index of north indicator in vertical plane to direction of vector of magnetic field of the Earth. If axle of magnetized element is put on two supports its northern direction of magnetization is deviated from plane perpendicular to axis to direction of vector of magnetic field of the Earth. EFFECT: simplified design, improved functional reliability. 4 cl, 4 dwg
