FIELD: medicine, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: it is known fact that in patients affected with hypertensive disease left ventricle hypertrophy manifests itself in electrocardiogram as altered repolarization phase. Following procedure is recommended: 35 electrocardiogram leads-on are recorded and calculations are made of weight index value of left ventricle myocardium, and relationship of final diastolic dimension to sum total of left ventricle walls during diastole as determined by echocardiography. Cardiologist proceeds upon assumption that when relationship of number of leads-on having altered repolarization phase (negative wave T and depressed segment ST) to total number of leads-on ranges from 48 to 60 %, weight index value of left ventricle myocardium is less than 100 g/sq. m, and relationship of final diastolic dimension of left ventricle to sum total of its walls during diastole is more than 27.0 mm, then a case of ischemic heart disease is diagnosed. EFFECT: it is possible to diagnose ischemic heart disease in patients suffering from hypertensive disease and, simultaneously, affected with left ventricle myocardium hypertrophy.
